Installation and operating instructions for irrigation system AWS 25
5. Installation
Step 1: (see fig. 2 on page 2)
Lie the hose (J) amongst the plants to be watered. If necessary use the gusset (G) provided and/or the
T-piece (M) in order to achieve a tidy appearance. At an open end attach the irrigation clock (L) as well
as pressure-reducing valve (A) and hose adapter (B) (see in addition also chapter 6). All further open
ends are closed with the end plugs (E).
Indication: Fixing material for fixing to walls or covers is not contained in the scope of supply.
Step 2: (see fig. 3 on page 3)
In this step the plants will be provided with the discharge hoses. Cut the hose (K) to the required length,
so that it reaches the plants of the main supply hose (J). Subsequently, make a hole with the punching
die (C) in the appropriate place on the supply hose (J) and connect the discharge hose (K) as well as the
connecting piece (F).
Indication: If the irrigation system is used for pot plants of various sizes, we recommend attaching two
discharge hoses with the large pots and only one with the smaller pots. This helps avoid the small pot
plants becoming over watered and/or the large pots not receiving sufficient water.
Step 3: (see fig. 4 on page 3)
Put the discharge nozzles (H) on the ends of the hoses (K) in order to achieve the correct water dosage.
In the plant pots you can fasten the hoses (K) with the ground spikes (I).
If you should remove plants from the system the open places in the hose (J) can be sealed with the filler
plugs (D).
6. Installation of the irrigation clock

Insert 2 new AAA Alkaline batteries into the battery box. To
open the compartment squeeze both of the "pins" together
and pull the compartment out.
Test the unit in function. Set the "runtime" rotary switch to
2.
the "ON "position. Within a few seconds you will hear the
mechanism inside the clock.
3.
Program the irrigation clock before attaching to the tap (see
chapter 8).
Use the "frequency" (interval) rotary switch to set the time
4.
intervals of the irrigation.
Use the "run time" rotary switch to set the length of the
5.
irrigation.
6.
Screw the cover on firmly.
Screw the ¾ " screw connection of your irrigation clock to
7.
the tap. When using the ½" adapter screw this first to the
tap. Loosen the union nut of the ¾ " screw connection by a
complete revolution. Subsequently, keep the clock firmly in
place with one hand and fasten the ¾ " screw connection to
the tap with the other hand.
8.
Turn the union nut on again. Caution: Do not overturn!
