Problem
An exclamation
mark, the
replacement
reminder and

reminder have
suddenly
appeared on the
display.
Water is leaking
from the bottom
of the appliance.

SmartClean system

Problem
The SmartClean
system does not
work when I
press the on/off
button.
Possible cause
The shaving heads
are damaged.
The shaving heads
are soiled.
During cleaning,
water may collect
between the inner
body and the outer
shell of the
appliance.
Possible cause
The SmartClean
system is not
connected to the
wall socket.
The cleaning
cartridge is empty.
The replacement
symbol flashes to
indicate that you
have to replace the
cleaning cartridge.

Solution
Replace the shaving heads
see 'Replacement' .
Clean the shaving heads.
Also see 'Hairs or dirt
obstruct the shaving heads'
for a detailed description of
how to clean the shaving
heads thoroughly.
This is normal and not
dangerous because all
electronics are enclosed in
a sealed power unit inside
the appliance.
Solution
Put the small plug in the
SmartClean system and put
the supply unit in the wall
socket.
Place a new cleaning
cartridge in the SmartClean
system see 'Replacing the
cartridge of the SmartClean
system' .
