THIS DEVICE MUST NOT BE USED IN THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS:
- Epilepsy (diagnosed or suspected).
- Heart disease (diagnosed or suspected).
- A predisposition to internal bleeding due to impact or injuries.
- In cases of venous or arterial thrombosis, or thrombophlebitis (major arterial circulation problems in the
legs).
- Tendonitis or muscular contraction, without consulting your doctor.
- If you have had recent surgery.
- After acute trauma or a fracture. Stimulation can disrupt the healing process.
- A cognitive impairment
- Diabetes (muscle contractions stimulate glucose absorption).
Follow your doctor's instructions.
If you are taking pain medication, ask a doctor before using this device.
THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE USED ON THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE:
- Children or infants. The device has not been evaluated for paediatric use.
- This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities, or by people who are inexperienced or who have insufficient knowledge, unless in the
presence of a person responsible for their safety, under supervision or following the device's operating
instructions.
DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE DURING THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
- In the bath or shower. Water penetration can cause the device to malfunction.
- While sleeping.
- When driving, using machines or similar activities requiring precise control; electrical stimulation can
cause short involuntary muscle movements.
DO NOT POSITION THE ELECTRODES ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Do not apply to the front of the neck (left and right sides, carotid artery), face or head. Stimulation can
cause serious adverse reactions affecting your blood pressure or heart rate, and can also cause muscle
spasms that can block your airways.
- Do not position the electrode on your chest (heart). Applying an electrical current to this area can cause
heart rhythm disorders, which can be fatal.
- Do not apply to open wounds, an inflammation, burns, or skin that is irritated or prone to eczema.
Stimulation should not be applied to areas where thrombosis or thrombophlebitis is present as this could
facilitate the circulation and lead to an embolism.
- Do not apply the adhesive parts of the patch to your spine. Place them on either side as shown in the
image (Chapter 5.2.).
- Do not place the electrodes on your genitals. They may stimulate inappropriate muscles or organs.
- Do not place the electrodes on cancerous lesions.
- Do not position the electrodes on insensitive areas of the body. Burns may occur if the user does not
realize that the current is too strong.
- Avoid areas with extensive hair growth (as the patches will not adhere properly).

2.2. PRECAUTIONS

- Do not use for more than 30 minutes per session without seeking medical advice. The long-term effects of
electrical stimulation are currently unknown.
- Apply the electrodes to skin that is healthy, clean and dry.
- If skin irritation occurs, discontinue treatment. If the problems continue, see a doctor. Hypersensitivity
may occur in some cases.
- Remove the electrodes after use.
- Do not apply ointment or solvent on the skin or electrodes, as this may damage the electrodes and cause
a malfunction.
- If you experience side effects, stop using this device and see a doctor.
- See a doctor if your pain has not been diagnosed.
- The Kinecare® electrostimulator treats the symptoms and, as such, suppresses the pain that acts as a
protective mechanism. This device is not effective in treating the cause of your pain, including headaches.
- The Kinecare® electrostimulator is not a substitute for pain medications or other pain treatments.
- If your pain does not improve, if it becomes chronic or severe, or continues for more than five days, stop
using the device and see your doctor.

Side effects
There are few side effects. These are usually skin irritations (a rash) related to the electrodes. They generally
disappear within two hours of the electrostimulation session. See your doctor if they continue for more
than 24 hours.
Users may also experience myoclonia (involuntary muscle contractions) when the stimulation is too
intense, or sensory disturbances.
If you experience side effects during use such as nausea, fainting, electrode burns, pain or headaches, stop
using the device and see your doctor.
You may experience temporary muscle pain after an EMS

electrodes to the skin.
- Do not use electrodes that have expired.
- The patches are intended to be used 15-20 times.
- To store the electrodes, follow the instructions in this manual.
