The programming mode will also be activated (LED fl ashes) when the mains voltage is
connected (e. g. during initial start-up). Now a radio-controlled wall transmitter or a wire-
less remote control can be programmed within approx. 15 seconds, see above.
b) Disabling a programmed, wireless fl ush-mounted switch from a radio transmitter
If you wish to use the switching channel of a radio-controlled transmitter (radio wall switch or wire-
less remote control) e. g. for another wireless fl ush-mounted switch, this channel can be released
as follows:
• For approx. 3 seconds, press and hold the two operating keys of your radio-controlled transmitter
for the "On" and "Off" function of the switching channel that you wish to release.
- Wireless wall switch: Press the "I" and "O" keys simultaneously for more than 3 seconds
- Radio remote control: Press the "ON" and "OFF" keys simultaneously for more than 3 seconds
• The LED on the wireless inbuilt switch starts blinking. The programming mode will be activated for
approx. 15 seconds and then exited automatically.
• Press and hold the "O" key on a wireless wall switch or the "OFF" key of the corresponding switch-
ing channel on a wireless remote control for at least 3 seconds.
• The LED on the wireless wall switch goes out.
• This disables the connection between the wireless fl ush-mounted switch and the radio-controlled
transmitter. Now the wireless fl ush mounted switch will no longer react to the corresponding radio
transmitter.
Observe the operating instructions for the radio-controlled transmitter of the RSL system
that you are using.
c) Switching on/off via the push-button on the wireless fl ush-mounted switch
For a function test the consumer load connected to the wireless inbuilt switch can also be switched
on and off using the push-button.
Briefl y press the button on the wireless fl ush-mounted switch to turn the consumer load on (LED on
the switch lights up) or off (LED goes out).
Function test
• If you haven't already programmed the wireless fl ush-mounted switch, you have to program or tune
it to a radio transmitter of the RSL system (e. g. to a radio-controlled wall switch or a wireless remote
control).
• Make sure that the wireless inbuilt switch is supplied with mains voltage (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Press the "I" button on the radio-controlled wall switch or the switching channel's "ON" button of a
radio remote control to which the wireless inbuilt switch was tuned.
The red LED on the wireless fl ush-mounted switch lights up, the switching output will be activated
and a connected consumer load switched on.
• To deactivate the switching output and to switch the consumer load off, briefl y press the "O" button
on the radio-controlled wall switch or the switching channel's "OFF" key of the wireless remote
control to which the wireless fl ush-mounted switch was tuned/programmed.
The red LED on the wireless inbuilt switch goes out.
Maintenance
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled for any
reason. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist.
Information about the range
Depending on the radio transmitter of the RSL system used, the range is up to 70 m.
This value, however, is the so-called "open space range" (the range the transmitter and
receiver are visible to each other, without disturbing infl uences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, the ceilings of rooms etc. between the
transmitter and the receiver which reduce the range correspondingly.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be guar-
anteed. However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a detached house.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/vapour-deposited, metallised insulating glass panes
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile phones, radio-control-
led headphones, radio-controlled speakers, radio-controlled weather stations, baby monitors etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
• Proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electric appliances
