Malfunction
Pump does not start.
Pump switches off after a
short running period.
The pump is running but is
not delivering, or the deliv-
ered quantity is insufficient

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

W A R N I N G
Dangerous electrical voltage!
• Switch off the mains voltage of all units
before reaching into the water.
• Switch off the mains voltage of the unit
before carrying out any work.
If the mains voltage is switched on during
cleaning and maintenance work, there is
danger to life due to electrocution.
N O T E
Recommendation on regular cleaning:
• Clean the unit as required but at least
twice per year.
Cause
Power supply interrupted
Overload protection has
switched the pump off due
to overheating.
Pressure hose kinked
Intake blocked
Air in the pressure hose
If applicable:
Non-return valve incorrectly
fitted in the pressure hose
or clogged
Impeller defective or worn
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents
or chemical solutions as they could at-
tack the housing or impair the function
of the unit.
• Recommended cleaning agent for re-
moving stubborn limescale deposits:
– Pump cleaning agent PumpClean
– Vinegar- and chlorine-free household
• After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts
in clean water.
Remedy
Check the fuse and electri-
cal plug connections.
• Clean the intake and
pressure hose.
• Allow the pump to cool
down.
• Route the pressure hose
without kinks
• Check the outlet and
clean if necessary
• Clean the intake
• Expel the air from the
pressure hose.
• Correctly fit the non-re-
turn valve.
• Clean the non-return
valve.
