Bulk Dump function
With the SDD-3000 PEDAL, all data, such as programs can be sent or received as system exclusive
messages. Using system exclusive messages to exchange data such as programs with an external
device is known as a "bulk dump".
By performing a bulk dump, the programs created with the SDD-3000 PEDAL can be backed
up (saved) on an external device such as a MIDI data filer or a sequencer capable of sending/
receiving system exclusive messages. Then, when it is necessary, you can restore the data to the
SDD-3000 PEDAL in order to replace the many programs. You can also use this procedure to copy
program data between two SDD-3000 PEDALs that are connected.
Note: In order to perform a bulk dump, the SDD-3000 PEDAL and the external MIDI device must
be connected with a MIDI cable, and their MIDI channels must be set appropriately. See page 24
"Setting the MIDI channel"
While receiving data, do not touch any of the device's knobs, buttons or foot switches. In
addition, do not turn off the device.
Backing up data
Programs and global settings can be sent as system exclusive messages to an external MIDI device
