* Place the sharpening unit on the carriage in such a way that the stop rail
of the sharpening unit is situated in the gap between the stop and the car-
riage, and the sharpening unit make contact to the rear carriage wall (1).
* Subsequently push the carriage with the sharpening unit in direction of the
knife until the stop nose of the sharpening unit makes contact with the knife
protection ring (1).
* Slowly close the stop by turning the adjusting knob for the cutting thick-
ness until the sharpening unit is clamped between the stop and the car-
riage.
