Noritz Tankless Gas Water Heater
Remote controller
Install the remote controller according to the instructions in the Installation Guide (p. 31).
• The Noritz Tankless Gas Water Heater can be programmed so that it will default to one of four tempera-
tures if the remote controller is removed (83°C, 60°C, 55°C, 50°C (181°F, 140°F, 131°F, 122°F)).
To change the default temperature, follow the below steps.
* Changing the default temperature setting:
1. Disconnect electrical power to the water heater.
2. Remove the front cover of the water heater (4 screws).
3. Connect the temperature selection wire as shown on the under.The default temperature is 50°C
(122°F) when the temperature selection wire is not connected.
4. Replace the front cover of the water heater (4 screws).
5. Reconnect electrical power to the water heater,
"55 C" tag
"60 C" tag
"83 C" tag
(the back : 131 F)
(the back : 140 F)
(the back : 181 F)
• When changing the temperature, make sure to confirm with the customer that the temperature of
the hot water will be very high and that there is a risk of scalding.
• Water temperatures above 52°C (125°F) can cause severe burns or death from scalding.
