The Natus Quantum ® Oximeter Adapter Cable consists of a Nonin XPOD™ model 3012LP with a 15 inch
(38 cm) cable fitting on Natus Quantum Breakout Box MAIN. The XPOD Oximeter is intended to be used
in conjunction with Nonin
Intended Use:
The Natus Quantum Oximeter Adapter Cable is intended to be used as an accessory with Natus
Quantum to connect the Nonin oximetry sensor to the Quantum breakout for the purpose of recording
pulse oximetry data during EEG, Sleep, or LTM studies with NeuroWorks
Intended Users and Patient Target Group:
The Natus Quantum Oximeter Adapter Cable is intended to be used by trained medical professionals and
is designed for use in clinical environments such as hospital rooms, epilepsy monitoring units, Sleep labs,
intensive care units, and operating rooms. It can be used with patients of all ages but is not designed for
fetal use.

Clinical Benefits:

The Natus Quantum Oximeter Adapter Cable allows recording of Pulse Oximetry data during long term
studies in the sleep lab, in the intensive care unit, and in the Epilepsy Long Term Unit.

Contraindications and Side Effects:

There are no known contraindications or side effects for using the Natus Quantum Oximeter Adapter Cable.
Operating Instructions:
Connect the Natus Quantum Oximeter Adapter Cable to the Quantum Breakout Box MAIN labeled with
. Refer to the "Quantum Breakout Boxes MAIN and B" section of the Quantum User and Service
Manual for more information.
Connect a compatible sensor to the Nonin XPOD device. Refer to the user manual of the sensor for
corresponding user instructions.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Clean with a commercial wipe such as CaviWipes
