5.6 ROW MARKER

The row marker is a machine that traces a reference line parallel
to the tracks of the tractor on the ground.
Once the tractor has completed its run and it has turned around,
follow the reference row with one of the front wheels (L1, Fig. 48)
or with the centre of the tractor (L2, Fig. 48) according to the row
marker employed,
where:
L = the distance between the outer most unit and the row marker;
D = the distance between the rows;
N = the number of units operating;
C = the tractorís front wheelbase.
The exchanging of the row marking arms is controlled by the
hydraulic distributor of the tractor after the row marker function has
been selected from the connector block (C, Fig. 13).
The row marker device has a valve that actuates the two arms
alternately, so reducing use to a single tractor hydraulic distributor.
When the system is not in use protect the quick couplings with
the hoods provided and house the hydraulic pipes in the support
provided for the purpose.
5.6.1 ASSEMBLY ROW MARKER ARM
The equipment comes delivered with the taken apart and packed
row marker arm to part. Before I use to supply to the indicated
assemblage like in Figure 49:
(1) to lower the support row marker arm;
(2) to insert the row marker arm and to block with the appropriate
latch;
(3) to connect pulling;
(4) during the transport, to block lateral the collapsible arm like
indicated in fi gure;
(5) during the job to unblock lateral the collapsible arm and to
predispose the bumper for the absorption of hit of the arm in
closing.
