5.1.2 OPENING OF FRAME TO OPERATING POSITION

Be very careful to carry out the entire operation by following
the instructions . All the operations described in this paragraph
must be carried out by expert personnel, equipped with pro-
tective gloves, in a clean and dust-free environment.
1) Before starting up the equipment, check the area surrounding
the machine to ensure that there are no people, especially
children or pets, nearby, and ensure that you have excellent
visibility.
2) On the side arms, move the springs into the position (A, Fig.
14) for excluding the safety system.
3) Position the junction box switch in the position (B, Fig. 13) for
the lengthways sliding of the elements.
4) Actuate the tractor distributor, to make the seeding elements
move back in along the central frame.
IMPORTANT: operations 3) and 4) are carried out to gua-
rantee the correct release of the safety device in Figure
16.
5) Position the junction box switch in the frame opening position
(A, fi g. 13).
6) Actuate the tractor distributor and open the side wings of the
frame completely.
7) Position the junction box switch in the position (B, fi g. 13) for
the lengthways sliding of the elements.
8) Actuate the hydraulic distributor of the tractor; the seeding
elements will slide along the frame to the preset row distance
(chapter 5.2).
It is very important to check, once the frame is open and the
elements are positioned along it, that the safety hook (1, fi g.
16) is properly hooked. This device allows the side wings to
be kept fi rmly secured to the central frame to avoid breakage
in the event of accidental closing with seeding elements in
their operating position.

5.1.3 CLOSING OF FRAME TO TRANSPORT POSITION

Be very careful to carry out the entire operation by following
the instructions. All the operations described in this paragraph

1) Before starting up the equipment, check the area surrounding
the machine to ensure that there are no people, especially
children or pets, nearby, and ensure that you have excellent
visibility.
2) Position the junction box switch in the position (B, Fig. 13) for
the lengthways sliding of the elements.
3) Actuate the tractor distributor, to make the seeding elements
move back in along the central frame.
IMPORTANT: check that the safety device is connected
correctly in Figure 16.
4) On the side arms, move the springs into the position (B, Fig.
17) necessary for hooking the safety system.
5) Position the junction box switch in the frame closing position
(A, Fig. 13).
6) Actuate the tractor distributor and completely close the side
wings of the frame.
