clockwise and lift up. CAUTION: Do not touch the glass for the jug as
it will be hot after steaming, only hold the jug by the handle.
IMPORTANT TIPS FOR USE
Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before cooking. Choose ripe fruit
and remove peel, pits, seeds and cores.
Cut ingredients to approximately 1-2cm pieces before placing in the jug.
Smaller pieces of food steam more evenly and blend more consistently,
ensuring a smooth texture.
Potato will become gluey if blended for too long so it is best to pulse
blend after the steam and blend cycle. This will allow you to monitor the
consistency.
You can blend banana or avocado or other mashable fruit in the Baby
Food Express. You will need to press a function button, then just pulse
to mash to the desired consistency.
Root vegetables are great to steam and blend together. Ensure you cut
them up to the same size to ensure they steam consistently and to avoid
lumps.
Pour off excess liquid after steaming if you want a thicker consistency
before blending.
Always check that meat is thoroughly cooked to a safe internal
temperature. Chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of
75°C, beef to 77°C and fish to 65°C. It is recommended that you test
cooked meat with a reliable meat thermometer to be sure when foods
are safely cooked.
