Safety Notes

Read all safety warnings and instruc-
WARNING
tions that were provided with the drill
stand or the drill. Failure to follow the safety warnings and
the instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or seri-
ous injury.
Save all safety warnings and instructions for future
reference.
 Disconnect the plug from the power source before
making any adjustments or changing accessories.
Starting drills accidentally is the cause of some accidents.
 Assemble the drill stand properly before mounting the
drill. The correct assembly is important in order to ensure
proper function.
 Before using, fasten the drill securely to the drill stand.
An unsecured drill in the drill stand can lead to loss of
control.
 Fasten the drill stand on a firm and level surface. When
the drill stand can slip away or wobble, then the drill can-
not be guided uniformly and securely.

 Keep the connection cable of the drill away from the
working area. Damaged or entangled cables increase the
risk of an electric shock.
 Maintain the drill stand with care. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the function of the
drill stand. Have damaged parts repaired before using
the drill stand. Many accidents are caused by poorly main-
tained devices.
 Have your drill stand serviced/repaired only by a quali-
fied repair person using original replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the device is maintained.
 The safety warnings and working instructions for the
drill as well as for the drilling tools and accessories be-
ing used are to be strictly observed!
 Do not overload the drill stand and do not use it as a lad-
der or scaffold. Overloading or standing on the drill stand
can raise the drill stand's centre of gravity and cause it to
tip over.
 Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas
invite accidents.
 Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning
the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a ro-
tating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
 Avoid abnormal body posture. Provide for a secure
stance and keep your balance at all times. In this man-
ner, you can control the power tool better in unexpected
situations.
 Store idle drill stands out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the device or
these instructions to operate the device. Drill stands are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
 Before any work on the drill stand or drill, during work
breaks and when not in use, secure the drill stand
against unintentional moving by tightening the parking
brake 5.
 The power tool may only be operated on a mains supply
with protective conductor and adequate dimensioning.
 Always fasten the drill stand using anchors, vacuum
(accessory) or quick-clamping column to prevent acci-
dental tipping of the drill stand with inserted diamond
drill and core bit.
 Ensure that water-carrying hoses, connectors and the
water collection ring (accessory) are in immaculate
condition. Replace damaged or worn parts before the
next use. Water escaping from parts of the power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
 Observe valid national and international standards.
When wet drilling over-
head, the escaping water
must be collected. To do
this, insert the power tool in-
to a drill stand and mount a
water collecting ring (see
"Mounting the Water Collec-
tion Ring", page 13).
