LEVER DISPENSING SYSTEM
1. To dispense steam, use the knob to the side
(1), which has the symbol showing a cloud of
steam (do not direct the steam towards persons,
as this is hazardous).
2. To dispense hot water, use the knob to the side
(2), which has the symbol showing a drop of
water (do not direct the hot water towards per-
sons, as this is hazardous).
3. To make coffee, put the right amount of BAR
GROUND coffee (approx. 7 grams equivalent to
1 measuring spoon) into the 1-cup filter holder
(10) and after having pressed it and inserted the
holder onto the filtering head, lift the dispensing
lever (9) to be found on the right side of the filte-

NORMAL USE

1. Upon switching on the appliance the electro-
nic board controls the water level in the boiler
and enables the pump and the filling solenoid
valve so that filling starts after approx. 3 seconds.
When the set level is reached, the pump stops
and heating of the water starts. Coffee is dispen-
sed by lifting the lever (9) and stopped by lowe-
ring it. The relative LED indicators come on and
go out (4) – (5) to indicate the previously descri-
bed steps.
2. Filling the boiler with water is disabled during
the dispensing of coffee. When the dispensing
cycle has finished, if the boiler sensor is exposed,
boiler filling is re-enabled for topping up the
water level.
3. If there is no water in the rear tank, all the
electrical and water functions will stop, while
the red indicator light (4) remains on. Upon
filling the tank with water, the microswitch loca-
ted under the tank will re-activate all the func-
tions.
4. Take care when using the coffee maker. The
high temperatures of the steam nozzle (6), hot
ring unit. To obtain 2 coffees, use the 2-cup filter
holder (10) with two measuring spoonfuls.
4. The pre-packed 7-gram coffee pod may also be
used for a single cup of coffee. Always remember
to clean the filters thoroughly when changing
from ground to pod coffee.
5. The pressure gauge on the front (8) shows the
internal boiler pressure at all times (0.9-1.1
BAR).
6. Look at the pressure gauge fairly frequently to
check the boiler pressure. The appliance is fitted
with a safety device, which trips if the pressure
inside the boiler is abnormal.

5. Do not allow children or inexpert persons to
use the appliance without supervision – do not
touch the appliance when hands or feet are wet or
damp – do not immerse the appliance in water –
if the boiler safety sensor activates, the appliance
stops working. Only professionally qualified per-
sons are authorised to make the appliance opera-
ble once again.

7. Under no circumstances remove the filter hol-
der from the filtering head during dispensing of
coffee. Danger of scalding!
