Repairs should only be carried out by GARDENA service centres of dealers authorised by
GARDENA.

1. Clean the hedge trimmer with a damp cloth.

2. Lubricate the trimmer blade (11) with a low viscosity oil (e.g.
GARDENA spray-oil Art. 2366). Avoid contact with the plastic
parts.
Possible cause
Battery is flat.
Battery not pushed onto
the handle properly.
Blade blunt or damaged.
Battery not plugged
in properly.
A fault has occurred.
Battery is defective.
Only the original GARDENA Replacement Battery NiMH 18 V (Art. 8834)
may be used. This can be obtained from your GARDENA dealer or
directly from GARDENA Service.
Battery for additional duration or for
replacement 1.6 Ah (approx. 60 Min.)
Extends the life of the blade
DANGER ! Risk of physical injury!
Cutting injuries can be caused if the hedge trimmer
switches on unintentionally.
Remove the battery before maintenance (see 5.
Initial Operation) and slide the protective cover
(10) over the cutter blade.
ATTENTION ! Damage to the hedge trimmer !
Never clean the hedge trimmer under running
water or with a water jet (in particular a high
pressure water jet)
DANGER ! Risk of physical injury!
Cutting injuries can be caused if the hedge trimmer
switches on unintentionally.
Remove the battery before maintenance (see 5.
Initial Operation) and slide the protective cover
(10) over the cutter blade.
Remedy
Charge battery (see 5.
Initial Operation).
Push battery onto the
handle and make sure
that the locking buttons
snaps in correctly.
Have blade replaced by
GARDENA-Service.
Plug in battery charger
and charging cable
properly.
Unplug and reinsert
charging cable. The fault
will be reset.
Replace the battery
(Art. 8834).
