11.2 Recurring safety inspections

A safety inspection of the electrosurgical system is required once a year. The manufacturer only permits
the use of units for which an up-to-date inspection by suitably trained personnel can be verified.
All information relating to the inspections (date, inspecting staff member, result etc.) must be recorded
in the unit's log book.

11.3 Servicing and manufacturer address

Please contact your supplier in case of a problem that is insoluble for the operator or if the service is
necessary. When installing the device, it informs you about the possibilities for technical maintenance
and service at the specific point.

12.1 Cleaning

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
Before connecting the device to the mains, ensure that all flammable

Clean all surfaces of the device (the front side included) with cleaning and disinfecting agents
without alcohol content.
•
Follow the instructions of the manufacturer for the disinfecting agents.
•
Wipe the agents off with a sponge or cloth moistened in clean water.

Dry the device with a clean, lint-free cloth.
•
Do not clean or disinfect the surfaces with flammable or explosive products. If their use cannot
be avoided, flammable or explosive products must be vaporised completely before switching
on the device.

Propanol and ethanol affect the surfaces.

Do not immerse the device in liquids.
•
Do not sterilize the device with steam, ethyl oxide or other agents.
When cleaning the device:
cleaning agents have completely evaporated.
