Before fi rst use
ATTENTION!
❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. Danger of suffocation
exists!
Unpack the device and remove all protective foils and stickers. Make sure that the
product contents are complete (see chapter "Scope of delivery and device overview")
and check for any damages from transport. Should you identify any transport dam-
age, do not use the device(!); instead please promptly consult the customer service.
There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To rule out any risk to
health, clean the device thoroughly before using it for the fi rst time (see chapter
"Cleaning and storage"):
1. Clean the grill plate and the device with a damp cloth and dry them thoroughly
afterwards.
2. Connect the device as described in the chapter "Use".
3. Turn the temperature control to the highest setting and let the device heat up for
a few minutes WITHOUT food. The heat will eliminate any production residue on
the grill plate. When heating up the device, ensure proper ventilation as smoke
and odours may accumulate; this is not a malfunction and perfectly normal the
fi rst time you use the device.
4. Afterwards, let the device cool off completely, then wipe the grill plate off again
with a damp cloth and dry the device off thoroughly afterwards.
Your grill is now ready for use!
