Information on the use of batteries
Batteries are located in the remote control and in the actuator plate itself for the
emergency power supply.
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury if swallowed
Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed.
> Keep batteries out of the reach of small children.
> If a battery has been swallowed, call for medical assistance immediately.
WARNING
Damage to health caused by leaking battery acid
Leaking battery acid can cause injuries.
> Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes if battery leakage has oc-
curred.
> In case of contact with the acid, flush the affected areas with large amounts of clean
water and consult a doctor immediately.
NOTE
Product and/or property damage
Improper use can cause damage to the product and/or property damage.
> Batteries may not be recharged, reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown
into a fire or short-circuited.
> Always remove empty batteries from the remote control immediately. They may leak
and cause damage.
> Clean the battery and contacts before inserting the battery. Pay attention to the
correct polarity.
> Remove the batteries if you do not use the remote control for an extended period.
> Do NOT expose the batteries to extreme conditions: Do not place them on hot
surfaces and do not expose them to direct sunlight. Otherwise there is a risk of
leakage.
> Always insert suitable batteries (see 12.3 Battery). Inserting the wrong batteries can
lead to hazardous situations.
