The technique of lifting by adherence which has to be used for this grab imposes on the user a
preliminary validation of the friction coefficient between the surface of the load and the clamping
jaws, this in order to guarantee the good reserve of the load during the use. Tractel Solutions can
assist you during this verification.

Use on various products with parallel sides only.
·
Never lift greasy products or loads with smooth surface (polished marble for instance), nor products
with protection that can easily be removed or damaged during lifting
·
When turning, make sure that the dimensions of the load and the gravity centre allow doing it
without risks for the operator and / or the load.
·
Make sure that the load is well balanced before lifting and horizontal and with no risk of hitting some
obstacle. For long loads, we suggest to use two PB grabs with a beam (see technical file T6010)
·
Never lift loads with dimensions that are smaller or bigger than the clamp's capacity (see technical
characteristics for more information)
·
Wearing individual protection is essential when using this material :
·
Please consult us for any use in a specific aggressive atmosphere.
·
Please consult us for lifting pieces with another temperature than the ambient temperature
·
Working temperature: -20° to +90°C.

COMPULSORY INSPECTIONS AND CHECKS

Maintenance inspections and operations must be performed by qualified and entitled persons.
·
Check on start up (or starting back up): in compliance with the national regulations.
·
Compulsory periodical check in compliance with the national regulations. Recommended at least
every 12 months by TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS.
·
A thorough examination paying particular attention to any alteration of parts due to an impact,
corrosion, cracking or deformation must be conducted a minimum of twice a year, every month in
the case of heavy-duty use in an aggressive atmosphere.
·
Pay special attention to the good adherence and good state of the elastomer coating of the pads to
their metal reinforcement
·
TRACTEL SOLUTIONS is at your disposal in order to conduct any regulatory check.
Maintenance inspections and operations must be performed by qualified and entitled persons.

Regularly check the equipment is in perfect working order (before every use), in particular the semi-
automatic system and the pivoting pads.
·
Perform visual inspection before every use.
·
Any part with a defect must be replaced by a TRACTEL SOLUTIONS part.
·
The grab has to be stored in an safe place, at ambient temperature
·
During the storage, the grab has to be in a stable position without risks of tipping over. On request,
Tractel Solutions supplies appropriate storage supports
·
Any overloaded equipment must be immediately withdrawn from use.
