Options Explanation
Start making the settings using the Setup Navigator menu. For details, see page 24.
Register (change) the password for parental lock settings or for unlocking to play DVD-
Videos with the parental lock feature (page 46). The default password is "0000".
Change the player's parental lock level (page 46).
Change the Country/Area code (page 46).

Off The screen saver is not activated.

• The screen saver will be activated if no operation has been
performed for more than one minute/two minutes/three minutes.

• During operation of the screen saver, [SCREENSAVER] is

Off Select this if you do not want the power to turn off automatically.
This is the default setting for models other than European models.
15 min The power will be automatically turned off if no operation has been
performed for more than 15 minutes or 30 minutes. The default

setting for European models is 15 minutes.
On Select this when the power needs to be turned on using a network
command. (for installation technician)

Select this if you do not want to use the Network Standby function

USB Storage Select the method of software updating (page 47).

Restore the settings to the factory default.
Check the system version number.
Selecting License will display the license statement of the software used for the unit.
