General

The Citysphere electric air condition-
ing system can be operated either
only when the engine is running or
when the ignition is switched on. Your
service point will tell you which type of
installation your system has. The
system has a battery discharge pro-
tection system. If the electrical system
voltage falls below 25 V for longer
than 10 seconds, the system will shut
down automatically. It can be
restarted by being switched on again.
The air conditioning system is ready
for operation only when filled with the
refrigerant and refrigerating oil
quantities specified in the installation
and servicing instructions manual.
Cooling function:
At outside temperatures above 17°C
and inside temperatures above 22°C
at the same time, the cooling function
is activated.
Roof Top Air Conditioning System Citysphere
The system temperature control cools
down the inside cabin temperature by
the preset temperature value below
the outside temperature.
This value may be adjusted between
0 K and 6 K.
The system fan speed is regulated
automatically as required.
It is not possible to change the system
fan speed manually.
Information:
The temperature selected has a direct
influence on the power drain and so
also on the fuel consumption by the
air condition system.
The setting 0 results in the lowest,
and the setting -6 in the highest power
consumption.
Valeo recommends for the tem-
perature control a setting of -3.
This setting has proved to be the best
compromise between power and con-
sumption.
Heating function (Citysphere Comfort
only):
At outside temperature below 17°C
and inside temperature below 22°C at
the same time, the heating function is
activated.
No indication about that appears on
the display. While heating the cooling
function is switched off. The fan runs
with a determined non-changeable
speed.
If the button is pressed, on the
display appears . This signals the
heating function.
