Operation

4.1. System control -
Normal operation
Once the vehicle ignition circuit is
switched on, for a duration of approx.
1 second is indicated. After that
the actual version number of control
panel appears. Approx. 1 second
later it disappears and the point on the
display signals the standby mode of
the system by flashing steadily. That
is the initial condition of the following
operation modes.
4.1.1. Operating mode -
Automatic
After the vehicle engine has been
started and runs properly, the auto-
matic air conditioning system can be
switched on by pressing the button
. Failure-free operation is sig-
nalled by the indication of the target
temperature difference (Ref. to 4.1.4)
on the display.

4.1.2. Operating mode - Autostart
(optional)
After the vehicle engine has been
started and runs properly, the air con-
ditioning system is switched on auto-
matically and goes into the automatic
operation mode. Failure-free opera-
tion is signalled by the indication of
the target temperature difference
(Ref. to 4.1.4) on the display.
4.1.3. Operating mode - Parking
(optional)
The parking mode allows to pre-cool /
pre-heat the vehicle if the engine
does not run. By pressing the button
the parking mode is activated.
During failure-free operation
appears on the display. The parking
mode is limited in time and will be ter-
minated if the maximum operation
duration is reached. The system goes
into the standby mode.
4.1.4. Target temperature
difference
During failure-free operation the
target temperature difference will be
indicated on the display. For example
a reading of means the passen-
ger compartment will be cooled down
to 3°C below outside temperature.
e.g. At an outside temperature of
27°C the passenger compartment will
be cooled down to 24°C.
4.1.5. Manual selection of fan
speed level (optional)
The manual selection of the fan
speed level during operation is done
by pressing the button
• If the fan is in the automatic mode,
appears on the display. After
pressing once more, the fan
speed level can be selected step-
wise using the buttons
