Starting Up the Device

• Remove the device and accessories from the packaging.
Check the items supplied for completeness and trans-
port damage. If you fi nd transport damage, do not use
the device (!), but contact the Customer Service depart-
ment immediately.

Inserting/Changing Batteries

Before you fi rst use the device, the batteries supplied with
the product must be inserted.
Replace the batteries in good time when the power of the
device starts to become weaker. You require 2 x 1.5 V bat-
teries of the AA type.
The device must be switched off before you replace the bat-
teries (move switch to position 0).

1. Rotate the battery compartment cover
by 90° to the left.
2. Remove the battery compartment cov-
er from the device.
3. Insert the batteries into the battery
compartment. Pay attention to the cor-
rect polarity (+/-), (see diagram on the
back of the device above the battery
compartment).
4. Replace the battery compartment cov-
er and turn it so that it shuts.
