Instructions for Use – Zero Gravity Balancers
OPERATING THE ZERO GRAVITY BALANCERS
To ensure the proper and safe operation of your balancer, you need to pay attention also to the in-
formation provided on page 33/34, section "Safety Instructions – Accident Prevention".
Balancers without ratchet lock
After pulling the suspended tool downward for use, it remains suspended in the chosen position.
To return it to starting position, push it back upwards.
Balancers with ratchet lock (7231 and 7236)
After pulling the suspended tool downward for use, it remains suspended in the chosen position.
To return it to starting position, pull the tool a little downward, then push it upwards in a swift mo-
tion. Speed is important because slow upward movements will cause the drum lock to engage.
Balancers with manual drum lock (7241 0800 81...87)
CAUTION!
Pull the hooked tool downward for use. When letting go of it, the
tool remains suspended in the current working position.
To lock the drum, pull the handle of the manual drum lock (13) to-
wards the red mark (1).
To unlock the drum, pull the handle of the manual drum lock (13)
towards the green mark (2).
To return the suspended tool to starting position, push it upward
once the drum has been unlocked.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

CAUTION!
Daily visual inspection for corrosion or damage is required for:
Wire cable(s)
Safety suspension (2)
Anti-crash safety device (3)
Load hook (9)
Pulley (21) (7261 only)
If the safety suspension (2) is a crane hook, verify that the safety catch closes correctly by itself
after opening it.
DISPOSAL
Release the manual drum lock (13) only if a load is attached!
Do NOT use the manual drum lock (13) for load replacement. Load re-
placement is permitted only after the cable has been fully retracted!
If damage or corrosion is detected, withdraw the zero gravity balancer
from service at once, mark it accordingly and inform your superior or
the responsible person.
Servicing all moving parts and friction points with non-corrosive
grease significantly increases the life of the product.
When disposing of the product at the end of its life cycle, be sure to
observe all directives/regulations in force at the time regarding the
handling of metals, plastics, electrical and electronic components,
greases, oils, etc.
Should the balancer need to be disassembled, be sure to have such
work performed only by qualified personnel.
