8.6 Start-up

 Check that the technical data has been adhered to,
by reference to Chapter 4 and the rating plate.
 Disconnect the unit completely from the power
supply before opening the service door. Switch the
mains fuse in the fuse box off. Also make sure that
the TC power circuit to the thermal contacts is
disconnected from the power supply.
Danger of trapping or crushing if the
heavy service door swings back.
 The service door must be secured
CAUTION
using door stopper [3].
 Open the service door. To do this, remove both
screws and washers [6], swing the service door
out over the second mounting track and secure it.
 Clean the inside of the housing and the impeller as
described in Chapter 10. Make sure that there are no
loose foreign bodies, e.g. screws inside the housing.
 Close the service door carefully, The ramp [4] must
be adjusted such that the service door can be closed
easily and without any tension. Make sure that the
door also closes tightly.
 Position the two washers and screw the service door
firmly closed with the screws [6][.
 Ensure that the ventilation system suction and outlet
openings are open.
 Switch the mains fuse on. Carry out a function test.

9. Maintenance

 The ventilation box is maintenance-free.

10. Cleaning

Cleaning may only be undertaken by authorised
specialist personnel.
Risk of electric shock.
 Disconnect the device completely from
the power supply and secure it against
DANGER
being started up.
 Also make sure that the TC power
circuit to the thermal contacts is
disconnected from the power supply.
Danger from rotating impeller.
 Make sure the impeller has come to a
complete stop before opening the
CAUTION
service door.
Cleaning intervals
● Every 3 months. Select shorter cleaning intervals in
the case of heavy contamination.
Cleaning
Deposits can build up on the fan housing and
i
the impeller through the intake of dust, grease or
similar materials. These build-ups can cause an
imbalance, noisy operation or even damage the
motor bearing.
 Open the service door. To do this, remove both
screws [6] and swing the service door outwards.
Danger of trapping or crushing
because of heavy service door.
 Secure the service door against
CAUTION
swinging back with door stopper [3].
 Carry out a visual check of the impeller and the
inside of the housing.
 Clean the impeller with a damp cloth. Do not use
running water.
Do not use aggressive, harmful or easily
i
flammable cleaning agents for cleaning work.
 Close the service door and secure it with both
screws.
 Switch the mains fuse on.
