engine cooling water at 60° C.
The water heaters mod. BB.....SS have NO heat
exchanger.
Electrical heater element: the appliance is equipped with
an electrical heater element either at 220 Volt~ (powers
available: 500, 800 or 1200 W) or 110 Volt~ (only 1200
W) in order to heat water even when the boat engine is
off (for example when the boat is in the dock). BB....SR
models have NO electrical heater element.

• Magnesium anode: A magnesium anode is placed
inside the tank, protecting its internal surface and the
whole plant in general against galvanic corrosion
(natural electrolysis). The anode has to be replaced
each year in order to extend the working life of the
appliance. The models BB....X, having a stainless steel
tank, have no magnesium anode because it is not
necessary.

• Pressure relief and non-return valve: it is a non-return
valve, preventing hot water backflow into the cold water

supply; it is also a pressure relief valve, protecting the
tank against possible excessive pressure caused by
water while heating. The water is discharged from a
suitable drain, which the valve is equipped with.

Calibration 6 ± 0,5 bar
High limit temperature thermostat: it is assembled inside
the electrical heater element and it acts as:
1 Adjustable thermostat: it cuts off the electrical
supply to the heater element as the pre-set
temperature is achieved (the temperature can be
set between 0°C and 70°C, according to the user's
needs).
2 Safety thermostat: it cuts off the electrical supply to
the heater element when, in case of bad operation
of the appliance, the temperature of the water
reaches 90°C. A manual intervention is needed to
start up the appliance again (manual reset).
The models BB.....SR have NO thermostat.
