Electric shock caused by short-circuit. Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to
do so could result in electric shock/death or fire. If in doubt, seek advice from a registered
electrician.
Eye damage caused by high light intensity. Never look directly into the light source.
Risk of epileptic shock. Strobe lighting can trigger seizures in photosensitive epilepsy.
Sensitive persons should avoid looking at strobe lights.
Risk of fire. Do not cover the appliance nor any ventilation slots. Do not place the appliance
near any direct heat source. Keep the appliance away from naked flames.

General Guidelines

All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user
modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will
void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the
warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Nor Velleman nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage (extraordinary,
incidental or indirect) – of any nature (financial, physical...) arising from the possession,
use or failure of this product.
Keep this manual for future reference.

Installation
Some countries may require installation of this appliance by a qualified electrician. Please
check the laws and requirements in your country. If the housing is of aluminium, consult
with an electrician about proper wiring methods.
Before proceeding installation, switch off the power to the lighting circuit at the circuit
breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shocks.
Guidelines
The construction to which the appliance is attached should be able to support 4 times the
weight of the appliance for one hour without deformation.
Never stand directly below the appliance when it is being mounted, removed or serviced.
Have a qualified technician check the appliance once a year and once before you bring it
into service.
Overhead mounting requires extensive experience: calculating workload limits, determining
the installation material to be used... Have the material and the appliance itself checked
regularly. Do not attempt to install the appliance yourself if you lack these qualifications as
improper installation may result in serious injuries.
Distances
Keep at least 20 cm distance at the top and 30 cm on either side.
Respect a minimum distance of 1 m between the appliance's light output and any
illuminated surface.
