Operation and adjustment possibilities

Please refer to Figure 1 when you follow these instructions.
1. Plan your work site. Work safely and save efforts by planning your work
beforehand. Place the logs where they can be easily reached. Choose a site where
you can stack the split wood or load it onto a nearby truck or other carrier.
2. Prepare the logs for splitting. This log splitter splits wood in the length of 520
mm and a diameter of 50-250 mm. When you split larger pieces do not split logs
longer than the shown size. Never attempt to split fresh green logs. Dry logs are a
lot easier to split and will not jam as frequently as green logs would.
3. Route the power cord. Locate an appropriate power outlet, and secure an
adequate extension cord if necessary. Route the cord from the splitter to the power
source in a route that safeguards the cord and ensures that the cord will not
become damaged or wet during the work session.
4. Place the splitter safely. Please ensure that the splitter is placed firmly on a level
and supported surface in a height of 60-75 cm, free from any objects to prevent
movement of the operator. Never operate this splitter on the ground, as you will
risk it becoming damaged by bits and pieces, it is also uncomfortable to work in this
position. It is recommended to use a permanent stand for the log splitter. If
necessary you can block the wheels with wedges in order to prevent them from
moving.
5. Open the air escape valve. Loosen the air escape
valve (14) by turning 3-4 times every time you use
the log splitter. Retighten this valve when you are
finished.
6. Where to place the log on the splitter.
Place the log onto the splitter, lengthwise and lying
flat on the main frame (I). The log shall lie flat on the
splitter and shall be placed onto the log guiding plates
(A). Never attempt to split the log at an angle.
Be sure that the wedge (J) and log pusher (B) touch
the log squarely on the ends.
