Between the leaves and the fixed parts nearby or between the
5
moving parts of the motorization and the fixed parts nearby
• Risk of being trapped and crushed.
Solutions: safe distance and amperometric sensor
Depending on the configuration of the site where the motorized
gate is located, there may be zones where people can be
trapped between the open leaves and the fixed parts nearby. To
eliminate these zones, you must leave a safe distance of at least
50 cm between the fixed part nearby and the moving parts of the
motorized gate.
In any case:
Never allow children to use remote controls, to avoid any unintentional activation of the gate.
Inform them of the danger. The zone near the gate must not be used as a children's play area.
The installer must train the user in how to operate the motorized gate properly. Warn the user of all
the risks and explain the appropriate solutions for its installation. It is essential to warn anyone likely
to use the gate of the risks.
Standard EN12453 specifies that the minimum protection of the primary edge of the gate depends
on the type of control used to operate it.
This automation system includes a pulse control system (pressing the remote control once activates
the gate). This automation system is equipped with a force limiter compliant with appendix A of
standard EN12453 when the gate is used in compliance with the specifications.
The specifications of standard EN12453 apply for the following 3 use cases and minimum protection
levels:
- pulsed actuator with a visible gate
Minimum protection level: only a force limiter
- pulsed actuator with a gate that is not visible
Minimum protection level: force limiter and 2 pairs of photoelectric cells to protect opening and
closing
- automatic control (automatic closing)
Minimum protection level: force limiter and 1 pair of photoelectric cells to protect opening and
closing.

electrical connections and start
standard en 12445 lays down test methods for checking the gate's automation
systems.
- Implementation, electrical connections and adjustments must be carried out by a qualified and
specialized person in accordance with good practice and with current standards in the country where
this product is installed (nF C 15-100 for France).
- Use 2 x 1.5 mm2 cable (RO2V 1.5 mm²); for distances of more than 50 metres, it is advisable to use
2*2.5 mm² cable (RO2V 2.5 mm²). The installation must be protected by a 30 mA differential circuit
breaker and 10A two-pole circuit breaker. Check that your electrical installation is properly earthed.
Install an all-pole cut-out device on the network. An emergency stop button near the automation
system is recommended.
- We recommend that you supplement your electrical installation with a surge suppressor.
- Parts such as lights for the gate's motion space must be earthed or have double insulation.
- Before entry into service, make sure the hoods and guards are tightly screwed in or interlocked.
- You should only modify the original settings (speed, sensitivity, etc.) if really necessary, and with
precision
- For safety's sake, when bring the system into service, make sure someone is standing by the gate.
- the printed circuit board is a sensitive high-tech product that should be handled with care, in particular
the radio board and its adjusting potentiometers.
- All safety parts must be checked before the installation is approved.
