6.4.1 HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS

During hydraulic connection phases, it is recommended to pay at-
tention not to exert excessive force when tightening the connections
and in case to use a double pipe wrench to avoid an over tightening
and irreparable damages to the coil.
MAX. TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR THE CONNECTION OF THE YORK VALVE
KIT IS 25 Nm
The coils for sizes 020÷050, are provided with air-vents/water drainage valves, accessible by us-
ing a screwdriver through the holes on the side of the inner frame.
On sizes 060-070 the air-vent valves are not included, therefore it is necessary to prearrange on
the water piping a device for the water discharge and air vent from the coil.
Use protection glasses to avoid hot water spays on the eyes during air bleeding
operation
For a correct use of the air-handling unit, we recommend to install an electric valve (optional
supplied on request), which interrupts the cold-water flow to the heat exchanger when the fan is
not running. This option avoids to waste energy and it is necessary in «cooling» mode in order to
avoid to cool the structure of the unit and consequently to create condensing water. For mounting
the regulating valves, please follow the instructions on the next page.
If the control valves are not supplied by YORK, YORK is not responsible for any mal-
function or wrong electrical connection referred to the valves.
