corresponds to a Delta T (Delta T = difference between outside temperature
and inside temperature) of approx. 8 - 11 °C.
Since the inside temperature of an electric coolbox is controlled by the
particular ambient temperature, the Delta T output in 'eco mode' is also
always 8 – 11 °C at other outside temperatures. You can control the inside
temperature by turning the cooling output switch:
Turn the cooling output switch clockwise in the direction of 'MAX'. This
gives you a lower (colder) inside temperature.
Turn the cooling output switch anti-clockwise in the direction of 'OFF'.
This gives you a higher (warmer) inside temperature.
Turn the cooling output switch to the 'OFF' position. This turns the cool-
box off.
Note: If you want to achieve a Delta T cooling performance (Delta T = dif-
ference between outside temperature and inside temperature) of up to 16°C
and thereby, a lower inside temperature than is possible in the normal „eco"
operation mode, turn the cooling output switch to the ‚MAX' position. Please
note that in this case more energy will be consumed than in normal operation.
After the end of 230 V operation disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

Function with 12 V operation
ATTENTION! The temperature controller on the lid is only suitable for
230 V operation mode and does not function in 12 V operation mode.
In the 12 V operation mode, the cooling unit always produces a tempera-
ture difference to the ambient temperature of up to 16°C. The cooling
output cannot be controlled by means of the temperature controller on
the front of the lid.
Tips for the best cooling output
and energy saving
Select a location which is well ventilated and protected from sunshine.
Only place pre-cooled products into the coolbox.
Do not open the coolbox longer than necessary.
Don't leave the lid open longer than necessary.
Ensure that the coolbox is not packed too full and that the air can
circulate adequately between the coolbox contents.
In order that a maximum level of energy saving can be achieved, normal
operation (cooling output switch
mended for longer periods of use in 230 V operation.
Possible malfunctions
Firstly check whether you have correctly followed the instructions for using the
coolbox, then also check:
– Is the connection cable correctly connected and does your car cigarette
lighter / domestic socket function properly?
– Have you set up the coolbox in such a way that the air can circulate
freely and that venting of the cooling unit can occur?
– Is the fuse in the plug of the 12 V connection cable OK?
– Check the setting of the cooling output switch

Cleaning and care
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. If you do, there is a risk of
damage to the product.
Before any cleaning, pull the plug of the connection cable out of the
socket or the cigarette lighter. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
Never clean the coolbox under running water. If you do, this could result
in damage to the electrics.
Remove the electrical lid from the appliance prior to cleaning.
Use a dry cloth for cleaning the electrical lid.
Use a damp cloth and a mild soap solution for cleaning the bottom
section of the coolbox.
Use clean water to rinse off those parts cleaned with soapy water.
Disposal
When your appliance has come to the end of its life, please do
not throw it out with your household refuse, but in the interests of
the environment take it to a suitable centre where it can be dis-
posed of properly.
Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained
from your local authority.
Do not dispose of electrical equipment
in the household waste!
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC relating to old electrical
and electronic appliances and its translation into national law, used electrical
equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an ecologically com-
patible way.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose
of your worn out electrical appliances.
