6.4 Mounting on the Travel 800, Travel 801 and BaseTravel 801
1. Insert the 3 x 27 A2 cylinder pin into the crossways borehole of the gear shaft.
2. Put the slip clutch onto the gear shaft and turn it until the cylinder pin clicks into the
recess of the slip clutch.
3. Put the propeller onto the gear shaft.
4. Group together all twelve of the 20mm diameter plate springs into three packs of
four springs each. The plate springs of each pack must be stacked facing in the same
direction. Now place the plate spring packs in alternate directions onto the gear shaft.
The opening of the first pack must face toward the propeller (i.e. the pack curves away
from the propeller). The second pack must be slotted on the other way around to the
first pack. The third pack has the same direction as the first pack (see fig. 4)
5. Screw the M10 A2 self-locking nut onto the gear shaft. Tighten the nut so that the plate
springs are pressed onto the block. Then loosen the self-locking nut again by 270° (a
three-quarter turn). In this way, you pre-stress the slip clutch, i.e. the slip clutch can
transfer the necessary torque, but releases if overloaded.
6. The next steps differ depending on whether your sacrificial anode is designed with a
screw thread or as a disc.
• Sacrificial anode with thread (fig. 2): Place the 8.5 x 2 O-ring onto the gear shaft and
then screw on the sacrificial anode by hand.
• Sacrificial anode as a disc (fig. 3): Place the sacrificial anode onto the gear shaft and
secure it with one of the self-locking nuts you removed during dismantling.
