6. Replacing the propeller

6.1 Tools required

• 17 mm or 11/6 in. socket wrench (as long as possible)
• 3 mm pin punch (for some models)

6.2 Dismantling the propeller (all types)

Unscrew all the nuts on the gear axle and remove all components from the gear axle that
are in front of the gear cap, which is fixed with 4 screws.
If the cylinder pin has become distorted, remove it by tapping gently with a 3 mm pin
punch.
6.3 Mounting on the Travel 400, Travel 401 and BaseTravel 401
1. Insert the 3 x 27 A2 cylinder pin into the crossways borehole of the gear shaft.
2. Put the slip clutch onto the gear shaft and turn it until the cylinder pin clicks into the
recess of the slip clutch.
3. Put the propeller onto the gear shaft.
4. Group together nine of the 20 mm diameter plate springs into three packs of three
springs each. The plate springs of each pack must be stacked facing in the same
direction. Now place the plate spring packs in alternate directions onto the gear shaft.
The opening of the first pack must face towards the propeller (i.e. the pack curves away
from the propeller). The second pack must be slotted on the other way around to the
first pack. The third pack has the same direction as the first pack (see fig. 1).
