In manual mode, if the Power5™ is operating with the air flow set to medium, high or
turbo speed, after 8 hours the unit will automatically reset to low speed, to prevent fan
motor overload and to conserve electrical power.
Pressing the power button again will stop operation and turn off the unit.

OPERATION WITH REMOTE CONTROL

Press the POWER button on the remote to start operation.
When the power is activated, the front panel lights are illuminated and the Power5
begins to operate in automatic mode. Air filtration and clean ion generation are activated.
The amount of air flow is automatically regulated by the conditions in the room.
The FAN SPEED button on the remote changes operation from automatic to manual,
and selects the desired air flow (fan speed).
The AUTO button allows the user to select between automatic and manual operation.
The TIMER button sets the timer. This is a multiple setting. By pressing the button, you
can select the amount of time the unit will run in automatic mode — 1 hour, 2 hours, 4
hours or 8 hours. Each press on the timer button will advance the timer through this range
of settings. Pressing the button again will cancel timer operation.
Pressing the timer button while the unit is operating in timer mode will change or cancel
the timer setting.
The Power5 automatically turns itself off after the indicated time has run out.
The CLEAN ION button activates and turns off the clean ion generator. The unit can be
operated with the ion generator on or off. The ion generator is automatically activated if no
selection is made.
The PANEL LIGHT button controls the lights that illuminate the unit's front panel. There
are three options: lights on, lights dim, and lights off.

USING THE AROMATHERAPY SYSTEM:

The Power5 is provided with a selectable aromatherapy function. Use of this function is
optional — during normal operation of the Power5, aromatherapy can be either on or off.
When the Power5 is operating and an Air Wellness Therapy
aromatherapy is activated. Aromatherapy can be deactivated at any time by removing
the sachet.
To use the aromatherapy system:
1. At the back of the unit, rotate the cover of the aromatherapy module to remove it.
2. Unwrap an Air Wellness Therapy sachet and place it all the way inside the tube. Note
that the sides of the tube have slotted openings. Insert the aromatherapy sachet so that
the flat surfaces of the sachet face toward the slots.
3. Replace the cover on the tube and turn the cover to lock it in place.
4. Align the small dot on the intensity level knob with the widest part of the curve that is
molded next to the knob. The wide end of the curve is maximum intensity. After setting
the knob in that position, turn the knob to the left to adjust the intensity of the aroma.
CAUTION: Use only Nikken Air Wellness Therapy products designed for the Air Wellness
Power5. Placing any other kind of material in the aromatherapy system may cause
damage and/or void the warranty.
