Charging of cylindrical cells: The charging time depends on capacity of the battery and of its charging
status and is defined automatically (intelligently) by the chip. For completely discharged batteries please find
following average charging times:

The 9 V-block is always charged for 14 hours with timer automatic.

*) Capacities above 4500 mAh up to 9000 mAh have to be taken out of the charger after switching to trickle
charge and have to be re-inserted once again. Then they will be fully charged until automatical termination
by the chip.
**) NiMH batteries 130 - 180 mAh have to be charged 14 hours automatically and then for further 5 hours.
Then they have to be taken out of the charger and they are fully charged.
Instruction for use:

It is essential to discharge/charge batteries before using them for the first time or after they have been
stored for a longer period. In some cases it may be necessary to carry out the charging process twice in order
to return the batteries to full capacity.

The contact surface of the batteries and of the charger must always be kept clean.

Do not charge dry cells (use NiCd and/or NiMH batteries only!)!

Batteries should not be treated as household waste! Dispose of damaged and used batteries at appro-
priate collection point or return them to your dealer.

Use charger box and accessories in dry locations only!

Please note that disengaging the power supply from the charger box will interrupt the charging status.
Reconnecting the power supply will initiate discharging of the cylindrical cells (section 1.3).

External surrounding temperatures of over 50°C (eg. in cars) may adversely affect the function of the display
indication. Full working operation of the display will resume as soon as the temperature returns to a normal level.

Protect the unit against oil, grease, aggressive detergents and solvents as unit may be destroyed.

Following a drop or if mains pins are affected the unit has to be checked immediately by an authorized
dealer.
