Playing CDs
1. Shift the OPEN key to the right to open the CD com-
partment.
2. Insert a CD with the label facing upwards and press
carefully over the button until it snaps into place.
Close the CD compartment.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to switch the device
on and play back the CD. „--" appears in the display,
i.e. number of tracks and the total running time. The
CD starts from the fi rst track. The track currently
being played and the time that has elapsed are
shown in the display.
4. To remove a CD, press the STOP key, open the CD
deck with the OPEN key and take out the CD carefully.
Please note these instructions for playing back CDs
and CDRs in MP3 format! The device is not able to
play back MP3 fi les. The CD begins to turn, but the
sound cannot be heard.
Always keep the CD deck cover closed.
Note: If a disc is inserted incorrectly, or no disc is inser-
ted, the symbol „DISC" appears in the display.
Description of the CD buttons:
PLAY/PAUSE
/ II:
You can briefl y interrupt the
playing. Renewed pressing of the
button will re-start the playing
from the same place.
STOP
:
The CD is stopped. By pressing
once again, the unit is switched
off.
BBS (BASS BOOST): increases the bass sound. Press
repeatedly to switch between
BOOST 1 and BOOST 2.
PROG:
See under "Programmed Play".
MODE:
The following functions can be
selected with the MODE key:
Press once =
repeated continuously.
Press a second time =
played continuously.
Press a third time =
Then press the PLAY/PAUSE
button. „INTRO": All tracks are
played for ten seconds. The word
„INTRO" appears in the display.
Press a fourth time =
The word „SHUFF" appears in
the display (during playback).
If the PLAY/PAUSE button is
pressed, all tracks are played
back in random order.
Press a fi fth time =
all the functions are reset.
The normal play mode is resu-
med.
ESP (Anti-Shock):
It fi lls the 45-second electronic
memory to protect against the
jumping of the CD. When anti-
shock is activated a bar appears
in the display which slowly fi lls
up. Press the button again to
deactivate this function.

1": the current track is
ALL": the whole CD is

SKIP -:
Press once =
This starts the current track again
from the beginning.
Press a second time =
This jumps back to the previous
track.
Press a third time =
This plays the song before etc. If
the button is kept pressed down,
the machine starts to search
through the tracks (The sound is
muted).
I SKIP +:
With this button you can jump
to the following track or the next
track but one etc. If the button is
kept pressed down, the machine
starts to search through the
tracks.
Programmed Play
1. Press the PROG key.
2. PROG and „00" (track number) fl ashes on the
display. The memory slot number can be seen on the
right.
3. Use the I
/
I SKIP buttons to select the desi-
red track and then press the PROG button again.
4. The display changes to memory slot 02.
5. Repeat the procedure until all the desired tracks are
selected. If the SKIP -/+ buttons are pressed, the
order in which the tracks are stored is displayed.
6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE key. The playback starts.
Press this button to pause briefl y the playback.
7. Press once the STOP key to stop the playback while
retaining the program.
8. To resume the playback of the program press fi rst the
PROG key once and then the PLAY/PAUSE key.
9. To delete the program, press the STOP key twice
(The machine switches off) .
The device stops automatically once the entire sequence
of programmed tracks is completed. The programmed
sequence remains in the memory until the CD is taken
out of the CD deck or until the device is switched off.
It is possible to combine the pre-programmed tracks
with the MODE function. After you have programmed the
tracks and started the machine, please press the MODE
button up to fourth times so that the functions „
ALL" and „INTRO" can be used as described in the
section entitled „MODE".
This device has been tested according to all relevant cur-
rent CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibili-
ty and low voltage directives, and has been constructed
in accordance with the latest safety regulations.
