Extinguishing
WARNING! If the heater is to be moved or left unattended, it must always be extinguished first.
1.
Turn the wick knob slowly anti-clockwise to its end. The flame will die after 3-5 minutes.
2.
For emergency extinguishing, press the emergency extinguishing button on the left of the wick's
knob.
3.
Check that the flame has gone out.
Wick maintenance
Contaminants at the top of the wick impair combustion and the output of the heater. Burn off any
contaminants that may accumulate at the top of the wick as follows:
1.
Make sure the tank is empty so that no paraffin can be absorbed by the wick.
2.
The wick should be thoroughly soaked in paraffin.
3.
Light the wick and let it burn until it goes out by itself.
The contaminants have now been burned off and the wick is like new.
Replacing the wick
In order for the heater to function smoothly, it is important that you use the original wick from JULA.
Replace the wick as follows:
1.
Remove the safety guard by removing the
three screws.
2.
Remove the flue.
3.
Pull off the support by unscrewing the three
wing nuts.
4.
Carefully pull out the wick from its holder.
