Unpacking
1.
Open the box and take out the packaging material.
2.
Hold the handle and remove the burner unit.
3.
Remove the protective material from the flue and from the top plate. Take out and read the
Operating Instructions carefully.
Flue
Turn the knob to adjust the wick height. Check that the flue is fitted correctly above the wick cover and the
top part of the wick line.
Fuel
Only use prime, 100% pure paraffin.
Never use petrol. Do not use contaminated, degraded or poor-quality paraffin.
Paraffin must be stored in a cool place. It must not be exposed to flames, rainwater, dust, high
temperatures or direct sunlight.
If paraffin is not stored properly, it breaks down and turns a yellowish colour and emits an acid odour.
If contaminated or degraded paraffin is used, this damages the wick, the flame blackens, unpleasant
odours occur, heat output decreases and the heater is subjected to abnormal wear.
Testing fuel quality
The quality of the paraffin can be tested as follows:
1.
Pour some clean water into a glass.
2.
Pour in an equal amount of paraffin and hold a white sheet of paper behind to observe.
3.
100% pure paraffin is as clear as water. Contaminated or degraded paraffin is a darker colour than
water.
