Answers to questions about LiveIn
Q. Where should I put my LiveIn plug for Simu-Hz transmissions to work correctly ?
A. We recommend placing your LiveIn plug at the centre of the equipment to be operated.
Simu-Hz radio technology will give you a range of 200 metres in open field (if there is
no interference from the environment) and 20 metres through 2 reinforced concrete walls.
Furthermore, we suggest placing the LiveIn plug close to the WiFi router used, depending
on the power of this router.
Q. How do I add a new Smartphone/Tablet to my existing LiveIn installation?
A. You can add as many terminals as you like to your LiveIn. Download the LiveIn app onto
this new terminal, run it and click 'connect to an existing LiveIn system'. Then you just
need to be connected to the WiFi network associated with the existing LiveIn and enter
the 4-digit PIN code of your installation.
Hint : from your initial terminal, you can send an invitation directly by e-mail to connect to an existing
LiveIn system. Go into the Main Menu, 'PIN code' and click the 'Share PIN code' link.
Q. I have lost or want to delete one of the Smartphones associated with my LiveIn installation;
what should I do?
A. We recommend changing the PIN code of your LiveIn for greater security. Reset the
LiveIn plug using the reset button. The LED is steady red. Connect to the WiFi network
from the plug (Simu-####) in your mobile device settings. Open the application then enter
'Edit' mode (Main Menu). Click on PIN code. Change your PIN code. Send the new PIN
code to the Smartphones you want to pair.
Q. I have no more channels available on my LiveIn and I need to add new equipment to
my installation
A. You can add up to 4 new LiveIn plugs to your installation. Go to the Main Menu, 'Add' and
follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Q. Will my programs be lost after a power cut?
A. No, all your programs will be saved on the LiveIn plug.
Q. What happens when my telephone is switched off or when I am away from my home? Will
my programs always be run automatically?
A. Yes, because operation of the LiveIn plug runs program without being connected to the
telephone or WiFi (the plug must be plugged in and working – indicator colour steady
green).
Q. What happens if I change my programs from a mobile device connected to the LiveIn?
Will I see the changes on my other mobile devices?
A. Yes, synchronisation takes place regularly; it takes a few minutes to be completed
Q. The LiveIn app requires my authorisation to be geographically located. Why do I use this
for?
A. This is used to adjust the dawn or dusk time as accurately as possible. If you do not
allow this geo-location, these times will be calculated by time zone and will therefore be
less accurate.
Comment : the time will only be updated on local network, when starting the application. So it is not
updated when I am abroad.
