5.3 MOUNTING THE BICYCLE ONTO THE BICYCLE RACK ATTACHMENT
Caution: If necessary, get a second person to assist when you want to mount your bicycle roof rack.
Before attaching your bicycle to the bicycle rack, mount the last parts.
2 x Tension belt
1 x Knob nut M8, lockable
2 x Key
Insert one of the tension belts through each of the wheel holder eyelets, see Image 6.
Use the key to lock the knob nut lock, the red marking must be positioned across from the lock
symbol. Remove the key. Turn the lockable knob nut a few turns on the folding threaded bolt.
Open the frame holder of the mounting bracket by turning the knob nut counter-clockwise. Fold
the mounting bracket down and place it on the wheel track. Place the bicycle in the wheel track,
with the front wheel on the side of the mounting bracket's base plate. Push the bicycle back into
the wheel track until you can raise the mounting bracket in front of the bicycle frame. Adjust
the angle of the mounting bracket so that it forms a right angle with the bicycle frame, Image
7. Now push the bicycle forwards until the frame is situated in the mounting bracket's frame
holder. Close the frame holder by folding the threaded bolt into the intake of the opposite rail.
Now securely tighten both screws. Lock the upper knob nuts.
Position the tension belts around the bicycle's wheel rims and lock the clasp. Firmly tighten the
tension belts.
