Assembly
Mounting the Drill Stand
Erecting the Drilling Column
Put the drilling column 4 in a vertical position. Insert the lower
screw 8 (see illustration on the graphics page). Tighten the
lower screw 8 and the upper screw 5 using an open-end span-
ner (size 17 mm). Tighten the clamping nut 11 using an open-
end spanner (size 24 mm).
Star Handle
Screw the three handle bars of the star handle 1 all the way in-
to the central hub of the star handle.
The star handle 1 serves as the feed crank during drilling.
To drill, slide the star handle left or right, as required, all the
way onto the feed pinion 12. Pull the star handle off firmly to
remove it.
Feed Lock with Parking Brake
Before first-time use, screw the parking brake 13 into the free
threaded hole underneath the feed pinion 12.
Lock the feed when performing any work on the drill stand,
during work breaks and when not using the drill stand. To do
so, turn on the parking brake 13.
To drill, loosen the parking brake 13 until the star handle 1 is
767
easy to move. When doing so, hold the star handle in place in
205
order to prevent the drill from sliding down in an uncontrolled
manner.
60
Mounting the Diamond Drill (see figure A)
Remove the auxiliary handle of your drill (see operating in-
180
structions of the drill).
Ensure that the parking brake 13 is on.
132
530
Loosen the screw 2 on the drill fixture using an open-end
spanner (size 13 mm). Insert the drill with the collar from
514
above all the way into the drill fixture 3.
455
Turn the drill in the drill fixture so that all switches are easy to
reach and the dust extraction/water cooling connection on
9.5
the drill does not interfere with drilling. Tighten the screw 2
using the open-end spanner (size 13 mm).
Slide the star handle 1 right or left onto the feed pinion 12 in
order to drill.
 Check the tight seating of the drill in the drill fixture.
To remove the drill from the drill stand, complete the steps in
reverse order.
Fastening the Drill Stand
Note: Fasten the drill stand free from play to prevent jamming
of the core bit and the tearing out of segments.
Depending on the type and condition of the surface, fasten the
drill stand at the planned bore hole using anchors or vacuum.
Positioning the Drill Stand before Fastening
Mark the centre of the bore hole you want to drill on the surface.
Mark the outer dimensions of the core bit you want to drill with,
using the centre of the bore hole as the centre of the bit.
