LEAF BLOWER

Proper intended use

The leaf blower is intended for blowing leaves together
in a desired direction or blowing them away from hard-
to-reach places. The device is not suitable for use in
buildings.
The device must not be used by children or infirm persons
without supervision.
The leaf blower must not be used for the following
purposes:
- Use in enclosed spaces
- Use as a fan
- Grooming pet animals
There is a danger of injury. The user of the device is liable
for all property damage and personal injury resulting from
improper use.
Residual hazards
Even if the tool is used properly, there is always a residual
risk that cannot be excluded. The following hazards can
occur due to this machine's construction and design:
1. Lung damage if a suitable dust mask is not worn.
2. Hearing damage if suitable hearing protection is not
worn.
3. Damage to health, which results from hand and arm
vibrations if the device is used for an extended period
or not operated or maintained properly.

Safety instructions

Before use

Read through the operating instructions carefully.
Familiarise yourself with the controls and the proper
use of the device.
Check the machine before each use. Replace
damaged parts. Watch out for fuel escaping. Ensure
that all fasteners are correctly seated and that the
device is properly connected to the motor part. If this
is not the case, the operator or innocent bystanders
could be injured and the device could be damaged.
Before starting the device, ensure that it is not
directed towards loose objects lying around or
people.
Keep the working area free of children, spectators
and pets. Children, spectators and pets should
keep a distance of at least 15 metres from the
working area. Spectators or bystanders should be
encouraged to wear safety goggles because there
is still a danger due to flying objects. Stop the motor
immediately if persons and/or animals approach the
working area.
Never let children operate the device.

Using the machine

Only operate the machine at reasonable times of the
day; not early in the morning or late in the evening
when others could be disturbed. Times specified by
local authorities are to be observed.
Always operate the machine at the lowest motor
speed necessary to carry out the work.
Before starting blowing, remove foreign objects with
rake and broom.
When working in dusty conditions, dampen the area
slightly first.
It is not permitted to start or operate the machine
in closed rooms or buildings. Inhalation of exhaust
gases can be fatal. Work with this machine only in
well-ventilated areas.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection
when working with the machine. Wear a face mask
or dust mask when working in dusty environments.
Long-sleeved outer clothing is recommended.
Never operate the machine without the air outlet
nozzle.
Switch the motor off for maintenance or repair work.
Prevent the machine from being turned on
inadvertently. Only pull the start cord when the switch
is in the „Start" position. Both the operator and the
machine must be stable during starting. Refer to the
instructions for switching the machine on/off for this.
Do not overreach yourself and do not lean too far
forward. Always ensure that you have a stable
standing position and that you are well-balanced.
Do not touch the motor or the exhaust pipe. These
parts become extremely hot during operation. They
also remain hot for a certain period of time after being
switched off.
Never operate the machine with loose or damaged
parts. In the event of defects, the machine must be
repaired before being used again.
Keep your face, hands and feet away from all moving
parts. Do not touch the impeller and do not try to stop
it when it is turning.
Do not use this machine to spread chemicals,
fertilisers or other substances that could contain toxic
substances.
Never point the machine towards persons, animals
or windows during blowing operation. Always blow
materials away from people, animals, glass and solid
objects such as trees, vehicles, walls, etc.

Maintenance and storage

Allow the motor to cool before storing or transporting
the machine. Do not forget to secure the machine
properly before transport.
Store the machine in a dry location. Lock the machine
away or store it in a high location in order to prevent
unauthorised use or damage and to keep it out of
reach of children.
Never pour or spray water or other liquid over the
machine. Keep the grips dry, clean and free of
deposits. Clean the machine after each use.
Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer
for repairs on the machine. The corresponding spare
parts can be obtained from your authorised specialist
dealer. Do not use unauthorised spare parts or
accessory parts for this machine! This can result in
serious injuries for the operator or to damage on the
machine and it will also void any warranty claims.
Have your tool repaired only by qualified specialist
personnel and only with original spare parts. This will
guarantee the safety of your machine.
