TROUBLE SHOOTING

PROBLEM
Machine does not run.
Machine has little or no
suction.
Machine with Pump--Out
feature:
Squeegee has poor pick
up.
Tyhoon 1610P/1612 (07- -02)
CAUSE
ON/OFF switch is OFF.
Vacuum not plugged into wall outlet.
Faulty ON/OFF switch.
Faulty wiring.
Faulty power cord.
Building circuit breaker tripped.
Vacuum motor over heated.
Faulty vacuum motor.
Hose is clogged.
Holes in hose.
Intake elbow in lid is clogged.
Drain hose knob is loose or open.
Lid is not securely latched.
Worn gasket which is leaking air.
Recovery tank or bag is full.
Drain valve is open.
Drain hose elbow is loose or off plug.
Debris is wedged under squeegee blade.
Squeegee blades are worn.
Squeegee blade is loose.
Vacuum hose connection on squeegee
mount is loose.

OPERATION
SOLUTION
Turn switch to ON.
Plug power cord to wall outlet.
Replace switch.
Contact Service Center.
Contact Service Center.
Reset circuit breaker and change to a
different power circuit.
Find air obstruction. Let motor cool for 20
minutes.
Contact Service Center.
Clear hose.
Replace hose.
Remove hose from elbow and remove
clogged material.
Tighten drain knob.
Latch both sides of lid securely.
Inspect all gaskets, and replace if
necessary.
Empty tank or bag.
Close drain valve.
Connect elbow to plug securely.
Wipe off squeegee blades.
Replace squeegee blades.
Tighten thumbscrews.
Push vacuum hose onto squeegee mount
securely.
