Resistance measurements

Warning : Do not make resistance measurements on live circuits.
Calibration (diagram 1)
- Place the switch on the appropriate Ω
range.
- Short circuit the prods and set the needle
to 0 on the Ω scale (blue) by using the
calibration potentiometer located next to
the Ω ranges.
NB :
- The power supply of the ohmmeter is
provided by a 1.5V battery; if the calibration
cannot be done, replace the battery.
- Check that the resistance of the 160mA
fuse does not exceed 10Ω, otherwise
calibration will be impossible on the Ω x 1
range.
Measurement (diagram 2)
Multiply the reading on the Ω scale (blue) by the coefficient of the range selected :
x 1, x 10 or x 1k.
