WARNINGS

• Use two 1.5V AAA LR03 alkaline batteries (not

IMPORTANT
Within the European Union, a crossed-out wheelie bin
symbol on the product, documentation or packaging
indicates that the product cannot be disposed of in the regu-
lar household waste stream, in compliance with EU Directive
2012/19/EC and with current local regulations. The product must
be disposed of at recycling centres or authorised waste disposal
centres for electrical and electronic equipment, in accordance
with current legislation in the country where the product is found.
Incorrect disposal of this type of waste can have a negative impact
on the environment and human health, caused by the potentially
hazardous substances produce by electrical and electronic equip-
ment. Correct disposal of these products will also contribute to the
efficient use of natural resources. Further information is available
from the product retailer, the competent local authorities and
national manufacturer's organisations.
INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING
This scale uses two disposable 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries.To
insert the batteries, open the battery compartment by polling
on the cover tab. Insert the batteries in the direction as indicated
inside the compartment.
SELECT THE WEIGHT UNIT
Turn on the scale by pressing the "� / TARE" button and see the
unit of measurement displayed (g or oz). To change the unit of
measurement press "UNIT."
USE
Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Push the "� / TARE"
button. When "0" appears, it is ready for use. Place the item to
be weighed in the bowl. Its weight will appear on the display. The
scale will automatically turn itself off if not used in three minutes.
To extend the lifetime of the batteries, turn the scale off by press-
ing the "� / TARE" button for about 3 seconds.
WARNING:
do not exceed the maximum weight indicated on the bottom of
the scale (Display "EEEE").
CALIBRATION
The calibration function allows you to clear the weight shown on the
display at any time. Weigh the first item as instructed above. Press
the "� / TARE" button until it reads "0". Weigh the next item(s).
CHANGING THE BATTERY
When the word "LO" or the symbol of the battery appears on the
display, put in two new batteries of the same type. Open the bat-
tery compartment by pulling on the cover tab. Put new batteries
in the compartment following the indications within. Close the
battery compartment.
MAINTENANCE
When not in use, store the device in a cool, dry place. Clean the
scale and its bowl with a moist cloth. Do not use abrasive or
chemical products to clean it.
GUARANTEE
This product, all its parts and accessories are covered by warranty
within the limits provided for in this paragraph and the legal
regulations currently in force. The guarantee only covers manu-
facturing defects and includes the repair or replacement of the
product free of charge. The guarantee does not cover damage
and/or defects caused by carelessness, wear, unsuitable usage
not complying with the instructions and warnings in this manual,
accidents, tampering, incorrect use, bad repair work or purchases
not accompanied by a fiscal receipt.
