8.3 READING OUT ThE DATA ON A BID chIP / BID KEy
If you have a battery with a BID chip and once connected to the charger, the following
battery data can be read out to give you an accurate display of the battery state.
Data is stored on the BID chip / BID key, and can be read.

Power Peak ® Quad EQ-BID
When you have finished entering the parameters,
you must conclude the procedure by pressing the
'ENTER' button once more; this stores the new
values permanently in the BID chip. A security
query will appear if data is changed during
entry. To save the data, you must change the
answer to 'yES' with the '+' or '-' button and then
confirm by pressing ENTER.
The double beep indicates that the change has

charge or discharge process in progress.
Pressing the '+' button twice more displays the
second parameter on the screen. This is the maxi-
mum capacity value from all charge / discharge
processes.

the programmed date.
BID chip / keys are so small that you can slip them
into whatever other accessories you are using. The
pictures on the next page show how BID chips are
used.
