CHARGE / DISCHARGE PROCESS WITHOUT BID CHIP OR KEY
The following settings must be entered before you can start a charge or discharge process,
to ensure that the charger is set up correctly for the selected process:
• Connect the battery, check for correct polarity (see wiring diagram on page 8).
• Set the battery type
• Set the cell count
• Set the capacity
• Set the charge / discharge current
Once you have set the parameters - as described in previous chapters - the process can
be started. If you wish to charge the connected battery (CHARGE), press the "MODE" but-
ton once. Pressing the same button a second time within one second sets the discharge
function (DISCHARGE). Pressing the "MODE" button three times sets cycle mode (DC-CH
CYCLE). Use the "+" or "-" buttons or the "SELECT WHEEL" to set the number of cycles
within the range 1 to 99. If no further input is made within about two seconds of selecting
a mode, the charger initiates the selected process. To interrupt any process, press the
"MODE" button.

CHARGE / DISCHARGE PROCESS WITH BID CHIP OR KEY
The pictures below illustrate how a BID chip and a BID key are used: first connect the BID
chip to the charger using the adapter lead, or connect the BID key directly (see picture
below). If you wish to check the BID data before starting a charge / discharge process,
press the "ENTER" button. If the charge parameters on the chip are in order, you can select
and start the appropriate mode using the "MODE" button. During a charge or discharge
process the essential data of for the procedure is saved to the BID chip or key.
