6. Preset programs
With the help of the upper slide control (mode) you can choose between three pre-
set programs: B (=burst), C (=continuous) or M (=modulation).
Setting suggestion: „M"
6.1. B, or burst treatment method
In the first treatment method, burst (B), single bursts of 7 – 10 individual impulses in
a fixed pattern are sent. This is a combination of common TENS and low frequency
TENS. In the burst mode the frequency of stimulation is set by the device and can be
controlled separately through the frequency control.
6.2. C or continous treatment method
The medium adjustment for a continuous treatment method (C), allows the user to
diversify the intensity, pulse width and pulse rate manually.
How to conduct setting can be found in chapter 5.
6.3. M, or modulated treatment method
The third setting is the modulated treatment mode (M). through continuous chan-
ge in intensity this method tries to prevent immunisation of the nerve. If intensity
is increased in a period of low intensity within the cycle, intensity can be increased
slowly by the control element, so that you will feel this as an increase.
7. What to observe about the electrodes
Your physician ought to decide, which electrodes to best use for your kind of pain.
Do observe the instructions on electrode placement in the instruction manual in
order to keep stimulation effective during treatment time and to prevent skin irrita-
tions. You may only use electrodes with the CE-certification sign.
The wires delivered with the TENS device are plugged into the sockets at the device.
To do so place the device in your palm and push the plugs at the end of the wire into
one of the sockets (see drawing); you may use one or two connection wires. After
connecting the wires please connect the electrodes to the wire ends (positive and
negative terminal). Please be careful when attaching or disconnecting the wires.
Do not pull at the wires, as this may lead to breakage.
