10. Two-year guarantee

Dear Customer,
Thank you for deciding to purchase one of our products.
For decades now the name Aesculap has stood for tested
quality and first-class service. We offer our customers
innovative and efficient products.
Aesculap manufactures high-quality appliances and
warrants the use of high-grade materials and careful
workmanship. We give two years' guarantee from the
date of purchase (invoice date) in the event of defects in
the quality of the product.
In addition to your contractual and statutory guarantee
rights, Aesculap offers you a manufacturer's guarantee
on the following terms:
This manufacturer's guarantee applies for two years from
the date of purchase. It applies to deficiencies (errors,
defects) that are due to faults in materials or workman-
ship.
Our manufacturer's guarantee excludes:
• Deficiencies caused by incorrect operation, normal
wear and tear, incorrect interference with the prod-
uct by unauthorised persons, or use of thirdparty
products during assembly which do not fit or do not
function perfectly. Typical parts which are regularly
subject to wear and are not covered by our manufac-
turer's warranty in this regard are in particular the re-
chargeable battery and blade set.
• Also excluded are deficiencies which have little or no
significant effect on the value or serviceability of the
appliance.
In the event of a deficiency covered by our manufactur-
er's guarantee occurring within our guarantee period of
two years from the date of purchase, we will, at our op-
tion, either repair the faulty product or provide a re-
placement.
It is a precondition for our manufacturer's guarantee
that you send or bring the product and proof of purchase
(invoice) to us within the guarantee period, in other
words to the national sales companies of Aesculap or the
relevant national Customer Service centre. You will find
the addresses of our Customer Service Centres at the end
of these instructions.
