c) Assembling the locking device
• Suspend the pump unit on the edge of the water col-
lection unit making sure the pump does not touch the
bottom.
• Attach the locking device to the back of the control unit
(Fig. 13).
• Fix the locking device to the water collection unit using
an hex key (not included) (Fig. 13).
d) Start using the pump
• Insert the battery into the control unit (see chapter "Inserting and removing the battery").
• Switch on the pump (see chapter "Switching On/Off").
• Turn to open the stop cock.
• To stop the operation, proceed in the reverse order.

10. Removal from service

Should the product be taken out of service (e.g. for cleaning, maintenance or storage for winter), then proceed as
follows:
• Remove the battery from the control unit.
• Take the product out of the water collection unit.
• If a hose is connected to the product, then disconnect it from the product.
• Let the residual water drain out of the product, holding it slantwise.
• Dry up the product. If required, clean its outer surface and filter.
• During winter, keep the product in a dry space protected against frost, ideally in a receptacle filled with water.
Also do not forget to empty the hoses laid outdoor to avoid frost damages; open water taps if available.
• A small quantity of water remains in the product after use or after the emptying operation. Therefore, when storing
or transporting the product in a vehicle, use an appropriate mat.
